Well, so it begins. I’ve put few details about me under the ABOUT section, so I feel it’s redundant to list any of that drivel here. I’m notorious for starting things with all the best of intentions, then bailing when a burning new idea pops into my scrambled little bean. Now that I think of it, I’m notorious for a lot of things that annoy the crap out of me (especially when rolled out in list form so I’ll skip that as well), but that’s kinda what all this is about.

I’ve recently begun a new chapter in my life, a break from the patterns that have managed to keep me idle in so many aspects of my young existance. It’s only been 8 months since taking control of some errant behaviors that had all but taken control of my life, and nearly everything has changed, or is in the process of changing, for the better. It can’t be coincidence.

So, I’ve decided to keep this blog going for as long as I can. I’ve always been a decent writer and enjoyed writing, I’ve always been unabashed about my thoughts and feelings, and I’ve never shied away from an audience (ENFP), so this an exciting project for me. It will also be a great practice for me in follow through, and to get some insight from you about whatever it is I’m pondering on any given day. Feel free to discuss and comment, I look forward to meeting new people!

If someone were to ask me what the topic of this blog is, the central focus would probably be a general journal-style blog about a 33 year old reluctant adult, trying to make sense of his newfound clarity and sense of purpose. A (hopefully) smart, funny, somewhat dry and pretty sarcastic, light look into my blossoming new life. Not a place to air my dirty laundry, spew endlessly about my poor self *sniff*, or spread negativity, but a silly affair that is as unapologetic as it is irreverent.

As you will soon see, I have quite a lot of widely varying interests, and can be very passionate about them. I’m also a huge dork. I have an entertaining cast of characters around me, who you’ll soon meet, and a pretty chilled out environment. I hope you stay and chill with me in this space, smell the breeze rollin off the ocean into my port town home, laugh at my jokes (please), and don’t take it too seriously.
